TITLE: SHE
The first painting of the Deep Lines series. Sculpted lines capture the essence of the female form with subtle abstraction rather than direct realism. Innovative and refined, the fusion of epoxy resin and matte finish imparts a striking, almost sculptural depth to the piece. This artwork is carved into the canvas using a distinctive technique I developed, where bold three-dimensional lines evoke the female figure without relying on literal representation. The combination of epoxy resin and matte finish adds a remarkable depth, amplifying the artwork’s compelling presence.

TITLE: BEYOND THE SURFACE

Multi-layered deep lines technique
A reclining, pensive woman in a private moment. The outermost layer is unpainted shaped wood; beneath it, a darker panel defines her hair and shadows, coated in brown lycra fabric with silver highlights carved from painted wood. From a distance it reads as a traditional painting — up close, its layered complexity reveals itself. Her nakedness does not reveal her many facets. That is there to be discovered only by someone perceptive enough.

TITLE: THE ESSENTIAL

The Essential as part of Deep Lines series sounds striking and evocative. The silhouette of the woman, carved into the canvas, gives the piece an almost sculptural quality, as though the figure is emerging from the surface itself.
This technique of carving into the canvas, rather than just painting on it, introduces a tactile, dimensional element that invites the viewer to engage with the texture and depth of the work.
The woman’s silhouette might evoke a sense of presence or absence, depending on the details of her form. The carving could suggest a subtle tension between the figure and the space surrounding it. The deep lines that carve her shape into the canvas could also symbolize the emotional layers that define a person’s existence, making the piece not just a representation of a woman, but also a study of her internal world and the way she interacts with the physical space.
