Collective Exhibition — Chiostro degli Agostiniani, Bracciano, Rome, 2011

From 5 to 8 May 2011, Paola Cenci participated in a collective exhibition held at the Chiostro degli Agostiniani in Bracciano, a medieval town on the shores of Lake Bracciano, near Rome.

The Chiostro degli Agostiniani is one of Bracciano’s most evocative historic venues — a Renaissance cloister of great architectural beauty, offering a uniquely atmospheric setting for contemporary art. The combination of ancient stone, open courtyard and natural light created a striking contrast with Paola’s bold and tactile paintings.

This exhibition was especially meaningful for Paola, as Bracciano had been her home from 2008 to 2011. Exhibiting in the heart of the town where she had lived was a chance to share her artistic journey with the local community — a community she had been part of during one of the most creatively fertile periods of her life.

The exhibition brought together several artists, creating a rich and varied dialogue between different voices and visions in one of the most beautiful settings in the Lazio region.
