Naïf series

TITLE: Palazzo Chigi Saracini

The painting that won First Prize at the Biennale d’Art Naïf de Bruxelles in 2017, subsequently acquired by the Municipality of Evere for its public collection. Palazzo Chigi Saracini, a magnificent medieval palace in the heart of Siena, depicted in the naïf style, bright and glowing even at night.

TITLE: Horse in the night

A scene that caught the painter’s eye as she passed by, and she was compelled to capture it. Even at night, moonlight alone illuminates the flowers and the almost-white mane of the horse. Colour triumphs over darkness.

TITLE: Villages on the lake

Lakeside villages painted directly onto an old restored door — a unique support that adds history and warmth to this joyful, colourful scene. The naïf style brings a timeless, storybook quality to the landscape.

TITLE: Tulips field

Inspired by the vibrant tulip fields near Germany and the Netherlands where Paola lived. A windmill, a cow, trees in full bloom — and on the horizon, a dark sky hinting that summer is not yet here. Spring in all its joyful, fleeting beauty.

TITLE: Bracciano

The medieval village of Bracciano, near Rome, where Paola lived from 2008 to 2011. Painted with the warmth and spontaneity of the naïf style, this is a loving portrait of a place that was once home.
